The BTEC Diplomas are vocational qualifications to prepare students equally for direct entry into employment or for
progression to Higher Education.
Each unit is assessed and graded through assignments based on work-related situations or activities with opportunities
for teamwork and in-depth study, not written exams.
You can combine these with GCSEs. A suitably qualified student can combine these with A-levels and Applied A-levels to make up a total of four A-level equivalent courses.
If you do not have a grade C in Maths or English, the College will expect you to re-sit these.
A BTEC National Certificate now known as the BTEC Diploma is equivalent to two A-levels.
