Welcome Parent/Guardian

I would like to welcome you to our website, and trust that it contains the information you are looking for .  If not, please contact us and a member of staff will provide you with the information you require.

I am very proud of Palmer's College and what its students and staff have achieved over the years.  The first thing you will want to know is that you are considering an exceptional College with a growing local and national reputation.

The aim of the 'Information for Parents' section is to provide you with some answers to the questions most often asked by parents, when joining Palmer's College.  Perhaps the most frequently asked of these is “How does College differ from School?”.  It is fair to say that there is a big jump between School and College and it can be a daunting experience for both students and their parents.  However, at Palmer's College we can reassure parents that the transition from School to College is made with great thought and care.  The College has excellent student support services and outstanding pastoral systems in place to ensure new students fit in and feel supported.

We like to think of College as a 'stepping stone' towards independence, providing opportunities for developing within a structured and supportive framework where students are treated like adults in a warm and welcoming environment.

I hope you enjoy browsing the website and look forward to seeing you at one of our three open evenings: Thursday 20 October 2011 and Thursday 19 January 2012, both from 6.00pm - 8.30pm. Due to popular demand, we have also introduced a summer open evening, which is being held on Tuesday 10 July 2012, from 6.00pm - 8.00pm.
