When you join Palmer's College, we want to make sure that you get as much support as possible to ensure you are successful. So, every student is offered a screening test to highlight signs any learning needs. Support mechanisms are then put into place throughout their time at Palmer's College.

Every student also joins a Tutor Group (TG) made up of both first and second year students. They will come from various schools and will be studying a variety of subjects. Each Tutor Group has a student who is nominated as the TG Representative. With their help and that of your tutor, you will soon find your way around College and settle into student life. You’ll see your tutor every day and once a week there is a Group Tutorial where you’ll explore important issues related to student life. Every TG is also allocated a Head of Faculty to give you extra support when needed.

The students we have demand high standards of themselves and the College. To help them achieve their goals we have created the Study Plus Centre, which provides advice and support to improve learning strategies and raise achievement. Many students feel that investing time in understanding how to manage their learning has enabled them to gain confidence and improve their grades to progress and succeed beyond Palmer’s.

The Student Services Team are a dedicated team committed to ensuring that all students are supported during their time at Palmer's College.  Excellent support is also available for students with learning/physical disabilities.
